Mexican Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups milk of choice
  • 2 ounces 100% dark chocolate bar, chopped
  • 2-3 tablespoons Swerve, Granular
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground ancho chile powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch salt
  • Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
Directions
  1. Place all of the ingredients, except for the whipped cream, in a small pot over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and stir until combined.
  2. Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and top with whipped cream before serving. 

Makes 1 serving.
