Mexican Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups milk of choice
- 2 ounces 100% dark chocolate bar, chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons Swerve, Granular
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne
- ⅛ teaspoon ground ancho chile powder
- ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
- Pinch salt
- Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the whipped cream, in a small pot over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and stir until combined.
- Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and top with whipped cream before serving.
Makes 1 serving.
