Apple Crisp
Ingrdients
- 6 cups peeled, cored, sliced granny smith and pick lady apples (about 2-3 lbs)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ginger
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- Pinch salt
- ½ cup + 2 tbsp Swerve, Granular
- 5 tbsp butter
- ¾ cup oats
- ½ cup pecans or walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 10-in round baking pan or 8-in square pan. Toss apples with ½ tsp cinnamon and 2 tbsp Swerve. Add to buttered pan.
- Add to a food processor ½ tsp cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, salt, ½ cup Swerve, butter, oats, and nuts. Pulse a few times, just until the ingredients are combined. (do not puree!) You can also mix the ingredients by hand with a fork or pastry cutter.
- Spread topping over apples. Bake about 40 minutes, until topping is browned and apples are tender. Let sit for about 30 minutes until serving.
Makes 8-10 servings.
