Apple Crisp


  • 6 cups peeled, cored, sliced granny smith and pick lady apples (about 2-3 lbs)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch salt
  • ½ cup + 2 tbsp Swerve, Granular
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • ¾ cup oats
  • ½ cup pecans or walnuts


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 10-in round baking pan or 8-in square pan. Toss apples with ½ tsp cinnamon and 2 tbsp Swerve. Add to buttered pan.
  2. Add to a food processor ½ tsp cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, salt, ½ cup Swerve, butter, oats, and nuts. Pulse a few times, just until the ingredients are combined. (do not puree!) You can also mix the ingredients by hand with a fork or pastry cutter.
  3. Spread topping over apples. Bake about 40 minutes, until topping is browned and apples are tender. Let sit for about 30 minutes until serving.

Makes 8-10 servings.
