Bacon Chocolate Roses

Recipes   Keto     Seasonal     Sweets

Maple Bacon Roses

  • 12 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 2 tsp maple extract
  • Black pepper to taste

Chocolate Coating

  • 1/2 cup sugar free baking chocolate
  • 1 tsp coconut oil

  1. Heat oven to 400°. Roll each strip of bacon around itself to form a spiral. You can also cut small notches to replicate rose petals, if it suits you! Use two toothpicks to keep the "roses" together.
  2. Place roses on a wire rack. Combine maple extract, Brown Swerve and black pepper in a small bowl, then brush across tops of roses.
  3. Bake until the bacon is crisp, about 40 minutes. (Watch carefully to prevent burning.)
  4. While the bacon bakes, combine chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler and whisk over low heat to combine.
  5. Let bacon cool before dipping the bottom of each rose in chocolate. Allow to set before eating!
