Baconroses2

Ingredients
Maple Bacon Roses
- 12 slices thick-cut bacon
- 2 tsp maple extract
- 2 tbsp Brown Swerve
- Black pepper to taste
Chocolate Coating
- 1/2 cup sugar free baking chocolate
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400°. Roll each strip of bacon around itself to form a spiral. You can also cut small notches to replicate rose petals, if it suits you! Use two toothpicks to keep the "roses" together.
- Place roses on a wire rack. Combine maple extract, Brown Swerve and black pepper in a small bowl, then brush across tops of roses.
- Bake until the bacon is crisp, about 40 minutes. (Watch carefully to prevent burning.)
- While the bacon bakes, combine chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler and whisk over low heat to combine.
- Let bacon cool before dipping the bottom of each rose in chocolate. Allow to set before eating!
