Brown "Sugar" Cardamom Latte

Brown "Sugar" Cardamom Latte

  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream (use coconut cream for dairy-free) 
  • 2 tsp Brown Swerve 
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom 
  • 1 shot espresso or ¼ cup strongly brewed coffee
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the almond milk and whipping cream. Bring to just a simmer. If you have a frother, use that to create a nice froth on the milk/cream combination.
  2. Add the Swerve Brown and the cardamom to the bottom of a large mug. Pour in the hot milk mixture and stir well to dissolve the sweetener. Pour in the espresso or coffee. Sprinkle additional ground cardamom over top if desired.

    Wow! 10 grams of carbs? Where do they all come from?

      Hi Kelli, this recipe has 10g total carbs, but only 1g net carbs. You don't count the carbs coming from Swerve since those don't impact blood sugar. Hope this helps!
